  : The room was clean. Irina, the housekeeper, is really nice. She just speaks italian, but my friend could conversate with her. She was really kind with us. *Than there was a problem with the shower. You can not close it. There was just a too short glass in front of it and the drain was a bit blocked. Not a good combination. I know the owner will write now that everything was working, before we entered the room, but that was not the point. There was a showerhead stuck right under the ceiling and one you could take away from the wall. We couldn't manage to open the flexible one this night (we also didn't want to break it), so we used the one under the ceiling. After three minutes the whole bathroom was wet and the water ran into our sleeping room. We didn't have enough towels to take the water away and when we asked for help over the doorbell in the 5th floor there was just a voice telling us, that the reception was just open til 3 pm. We tried to call, and all we got was a message from the owner asking us, what we need. We described our problem and he/she didn't care. There was no opportunity for us to get towels or anything to take away the water. So we had to stay with all the water in our room until the next morning. We had bad conversations with him/her inbetween, just via Chat. She didn't drop by or called the whole time we stayed. Who likes sth. like that? I am on holidays and I want to relax and have a good time. In the end she/he took away the showerhead from the ceiling as if we were to stupid to shower. (She even asked me, why I didn't shower carefully.) This is already too long, I could write more, but there is not enough space left. If you go there, I cross my fingers you never have to discuss a problem with her/him about the flat. I will not return, neither my friend.
  : I didn't rate the staff as there are two options. Irina (the housekeeper) is :-), the person I was talking to over booking.com (the owner of the B&B) was :-(. Actually I am quite frustrated and I was thinking of what to write in this review as I know this person (or the chatbot) I was talking to, which is the owner, is quite rude and I know that as soon as I will post this, I will get an outrageous answer from her/him. He/she will answer on this that I write lies and that I was the one being rude and unable. If you read the answers on some other reviews, you will see it. In the end she/he is not a reflected person and doesn't take any critics. She/he always has the last word and she believes she behaves correct and her guests are the ones who have to comfort her in the best way. I never had such a bad host in my life and I travel a lot. I told her/him, that it is not a good way how she/he is running her/his guest accomodation and she/he said, that I should not tell her/him how things like that work. First of all she/he didn't respect that I didn't want to send her a picture of our ID by Mail or by WhatsApp. I know most of the people don't care, but I don't like my personal data being saved on a platform like WhatsApp (which I don't use in general anyway). In the end she/he send the housekeeper to take a picture of our ID and she send it by WhatsApp. Thank you for respecting my wish of privacy (NOT)! Furthermore it is not clear to me, why she needs pictures of the ID. No other accomodation I was staying in this week and no one ever before needed a photo of my ID. There is no problem in showing it for me, when I arrive in an accomodation, but why on earth do you need to take a photo and send it by WhatsApp or eMail? She told me it was obligatory and that she informed me about that early.

  : The B&B is located a little outside the tourist-infested center of Florence. Our room had a small balcony with a spectacular view of the hills and villas surrounding Florence. The bedroom was spacious as was the adjoining living room. No worries if you don't select the breakfast add-on (pricey); there are a number of wonderful bakeries very close by where you can sit, enjoy coffee and a pastry, and watch the locals come and go. There are at least three excellent restaurants within a short walking distance from the B&B; no need to go into the Centro Storico for dinner.
  : We traveled to the B&B by personal car, so finding a free parking spot near Lorena Suites can be a challenge. We lucked out to get a nearby spot on a side street and didn't move the car until the day we left. Finding a taxi in this part of town to take you into the heart of Florence is extremely difficult; you'd have better luck getting picked up by a UFO.

  : We went sight-seeing and tried out a local restaurant close by, which was nice. The room was lovely.
  : There is a few things I need to mention, unfortunately. And it's not out of malice intent - it's just with the hopes that maybe these things can help improve the client experience. Firstly, the distance from the train station to the accommodation is quite far - and unfortunately we did not prepare well enough and had to walk with our luggage in the heat all the way to the accommodation. Got there and we were met by a lovely receptionist who showed us to our room. The room was a pleasant size and clean. Equipped with all the necessary including a bar fridge. The disappointment was the terrace. I don't know what we were expecting (perhaps the terrace pictured in the ad) but we had a little balcony. When we decided to check out the view, our neighbours were basically sitting next to us. It's very teeny tiny but anyway. There was a lot of construction happening and the lights and/or wifi would trip intermittently. (Not a big deal but would have been nice to have been warned of this beforehand.) Time for check out, the receptionist was not there and the house keeper had to assist us with checking out and paying. She did not speak a word of English - so there was a bit of a language barrier. She was on the phone with the receptionist who seemed to have talked her through how to take our payment. When we told her we would like to split the payment in two, because we had experienced some trouble with our South African card in Italy, it was an issue. I think they thought we did not want to pay. Again, language barrier. We had to gesture to each other that okay, we will try one card and do one payment to simplify everything for everyone. Luckily all ended well. Unfortunately we had to walk to the train station again as we could not get an Uber/taxi - just like the guests before us.
